Ages 3 – 6 Years
Montessori Learning School
Devoted to the education of children ages 3-6 using the Montessori method. Where curiosity leads and learning has no limits.
Our Philosophy
Learning Without Limits
Based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, our teachers carefully prepare the school and guide children in their daily learning. Children learn best in an atmosphere which values the uniqueness of the individual — the role of the teacher is to identify and satisfy the needs of each child through planned and spontaneous experiences.
What We Teach
Curriculum Areas
Practical Life
Develops coordination, concentration, order, and personal independence through real-world activities children need to master.
Sensorial
Educates and refines the child's senses. Materials help children observe, compare, judge, and reason — building skills essential for reading and math.
Phonetic Reading & Language
Starts with letter phonetics and beginning sounds. Our reading program allows children to explore reading with excitement — there's no limit on what a child can read.
Hands-on Math
Materials develop logically from concrete to abstract, simple to complex. From numbers 1-20 all the way to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division into the thousands.
Science & Geography
Hands-on exploration of the natural world, history, and geography. Children develop curiosity and a love for discovery.
Arts, Music & Gymnastics

Our Director
Led by Experience & Passion
Cathy Gwilliam received her Montessori credentials in 1996 and has a deep love and passion for teaching children. With nearly 30 years of experience, she has built Bare Foot Montessori into a place where children thrive.
When children use their minds, body, and senses, learning becomes active. It creates a "whole child" and a love for learning. It sets their education high, making other levels of learning easy.
